Flights into Kona (airport code KOA) run regularly and many airlines have non-stop flights from the U.S. Check out United, Southwest, Alaska and Delta for the best rates. Our condo is located just 20 min north of the airport!

We recommend renting a car through the rental companies or Turo (a more affordable option). There is so much to see and do on the big island it’s worth having a vehicle. If you plan to stay in Mauna Lani / Waikoloa exclusively during your vacation, there are also golf cart rentals nearby that are a great option for getting to the beach, restaurants and shopping.

There is a large Target near the airport where you can stock up on grocery items. There is also a Foodland grocery store in Mauna Lani.

There is no shortage of things to do while on the Island of Hawaii, from snorkeling in the clear warm water, to exploring active volcanoes. We recommend 5-7 days to maximize your time and balance fun with relaxation. Book your activities ahead of time during busier months!
